Twiflex CE2 Hydraulic Brake Caliper 

The CE2 design is a development of the original CC Caliper. Hydraulically operated, the CE2 Caliper acts on 12.7mm thick discs and produces a braking force of 19.6kN at 110 bar oil pressure based on standard brake pads having a coefficent of friction of 0.4. 

 

Worn brake pads are easily replaced without removing the caliper from its mounting. During operation an automatic pad retraction mechanism compensates for wear. 

 

The CE2 Caliper can be operated from an air supply using a Howdon Air/Hydraulic Intensifier Unit. 

 

Piston is fitted with pad retraction mechanism.
